Plastisol Industry
Process Solutions
Oliver + Batlle has equipment specially designed for manufacturing plastisol.
Our industrial agitators for the plastisol industry adapt to the batch size and viscosity of each product.
Our mixing solutions for the plastisol industry include all the necessary options to guarantee a constant and controlled production process.
Oliver + Batlle designs industrial agitators for manufacturing rotational moulding plastisol, coating plastisol, plastisol for coating natural or synthetic fibres, crystal plastisol, plastisol for filters, labels, etc.
Each mixing equipment comes in different models depending on engine power, blade speed or useful volume batch range needed.
O+B’s range of mixing process solutions for manufacturing plastisol extends from the Dispermix VF-VFR models, suitable for small batches of medium-viscosity products, to the Dispermix Dual VFD for medium-sized batches of medium-to-high viscosity products.
In addition, the Dispermix Dual VFD can incorporate optional features such as the loop blade used as a mixing element and dispersing shaft.
We offer sturdy solutions, equipped with vacuum lids and special refrigerated vessels depending on the desired performance. Our technical team fully adapts the vessel to the specific requirements of each process. This flexibility is guaranteed thanks to the fact that we manufacture all our components.
For manufacturing large batches of plastisol or high-viscosity products, O+B offers POLIMIX coaxial agitators with cylindrical or conical vessel.
This solution also facilitates controlling key parameters in the manufacturing process, such as temperature and vacuum. For products with very high viscosity, we recommend the HIDROBAT planetary mixers, equipped with up to 1,100-litre portable vessels.
Plastisol is a viscous dispersion of a resin suspended in a liquid plasticiser that can take on a liquid or paste consistency.
In order to correctly manufacture this type of PVC compounds, it is necessary to know the properties of plastisol that can affect the process. Such as its optimum operating temperature (175º), the number of particles, or its hardness. The rheological properties of the specific formulation to be produced should also be taken into account in order to ensure that it optimally adapts to the product or intended use. For example, textile screen printing, footwear or toy manufacturing, for manufacturing insulating materials for electrical conductors, etc.
O+B offers mixing process solutions adapted to the manufacturing of plastisol with different properties. In addition, we design the necessary engineering project to adapt our equipment to your manufacturing plant. Contact us!
