1959 – Two friends, Mr. Carlos Oliver and Mr. Ignacio Batlle decided to found a machinery manufacturing company for the Chemical Industry, in a small workshop in Latrilla street in Badalona.
1961 – Due to a lack of space, the workshop is re-located in Avda. Marti i Pujol. Firsts production of Discontinous Ball Mills Molybat of higher size. Participation in first EXPOQUIMIA show in Barcelona, and the Anonimous Society Oliver y Batlle S.A. is established
1963 – An agreement is signed with the company Ateliers Susmeyer from Belgium, for the manufacture of the revolutionary Vertical Microsphere Mill, named by O+B as Grindomix.
1966 – Construction of the largest factory in Spain for the manufacture of varnishes in Valencia , Industrias Químicas Nabersa. Work also begins with Danish company Hempel, with a project at the Polinyà plant, and also with one of the most common customers at that time, Titan.
1967 – Export begins with participation in Fairs of London – Paris – New York.
1970 – Presentation of milling machine “Centrimill” at OCA Show . More than 500 units are sold in United Kingdom.
1975 – The workshops in central Badalona become too small and the Company started the building-up of the present premises . The relocation was carried out in several stages.
1977 – Developpment of the new horizontal mill “Supermill” . This new technology makes companies around the world buy the mill’s manufacturing license to manufacture and market it in their respective countries.
1978 – Introduction in the Middle East market. O+B is one of the first companies to reach this area, until then almost inaccessible.
1979 – Start up of the first “turnkey” factory for the company Saudi Paints in Riyadh, and from then on, many others are executed throughout the Persian Gulf. A delegation from China P.R. visit O+B, led by a minister of the Communist Party. Signature of an important agreement to supply machines for different factories in different areas of the country.
1985 – Development of filling lines for the paint industry. New models of high output gravimetric filling machines were presented in Achema Show (Frankfurt-Germany)
1989 – Exports to East Europe countries. Important order received from Nobiles company (Wloclaweck-Polonia), and other sales followed successively in later years to many companies.
At the end of the 80s, Barcelona obtained the organisation of the Olympic Games 1992. Due to a forced re-location of Titan Industries, O+B addresses the largest project in its history, with the supply of an automated factory in three phases: Synthetic Paint, Decorative Paint , and finally Resin Factory.
1991 – Major projects are being implemented in France, taking advantage of the creation of a branch office.
1994 – Purchase of the assets of the company brand Talleres Miralles, specialized in process machinery of high viscosity products.
1998 – Agreement with the North-American company Hockmeyer to manufacture basket mill Mill-ennium.
Purchase of the assets of the centennial company SUSSMEYER, and creation of O+B Europe office in Brussels (Belgium).
1999 – Empowering of technical office department by enlarging engineering staff for Machinery, Projects, electrics, and technicians for assembling workshop.
2005 – Development of new range of volumetric filling lines Flash-5000 and Flash 20000 electro, in electric/electronic versions.
2009 – The company celebrates its 50th anniversary and different celebrations are organized with workers and family members.
2010 – Acquisition of the Danish company PMN in Roskilde (Denmark), dedicated to the end of the line, Robots-Container Handlers and Automation Engineering for pails. With this acquisition O+B can offer a complete solution for denesting , filling and palletizing of containers.
2015 – The design and manufacture of palletizing cells is transferred from Denmark i to Spain. The department of development and technical assistance are strengthened to undertake large projects of complete plants around the five continents.
2017 – Corporate image is updated and redesigned with a new modern design of its Brand
