Throughout its history, the company has continuously invested in improving its production processes to meet growing demands for quality, flexibility and capacity.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a6148c;\"><b>Product to be processed<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Water-based emulsion paints and exterior coatings.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a6148c;\"><b>Project objective<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.duracolor.es\/\">Duracolor Coatings<\/a> identified the need to <\/span><b>increase the production capacity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of its water-based product range (emulsion paints and exterior coatings), under a number of key technical constraints:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Installation of the new equipment in a <\/span><b>limited space<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, adjacent to the existing dispersion area, originally supplied by <a href=\"https:\/\/oliverbatlle.com\/en\/\">Oliver + Batlle<\/a> in the late 1990s.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Close coordination with the different contractors involved in the project, including:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manufacturer of the working platform.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Installers of solid and liquid feeding systems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dust and vapour extraction systems integrated with the <a href=\"https:\/\/oliverbatlle.com\/en\/\">Oliver + Batlle<\/a> equipment.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The objective was to integrate the new manufacturing units while maintaining production continuity, optimising the use of available space and ensuring appropriate safety, ergonomics and operational efficiency.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a6148c;\"><b>Oliver + Batlle solution<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/oliverbatlle.com\/en\/\">Oliver + Batlle<\/a> designed and supplied a solution fully adapted to the specific requirements of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.duracolor.es\/\"> Duracolor\u2019s<\/a> plant, including the following equipment:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Polimix DPS-8000-OR<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, standard power, equipped with:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Integrated weighing system.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Automatic discharge valves.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fixed cleaning lances.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Three TA-12000-PS finishing tanks<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, each equipped with:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Weighing system.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Automatic discharge valve.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fixed cleaning lances.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" calculations for the existing structure were provided, and the final location of the Polimix and the finishing tanks within the available space was jointly agreed, arranging them in a <\/span><b>triangular (staggered) layout<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in order to optimise access, traffic flow and operational accessibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, the position and sizing of the following were also jointly defined:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Liquid and powder feeding connections for the Polimix unit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dust and vapour extraction systems for the Polimix unit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Liquid feeding connections and vapour extraction for the Finishing Tanks.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a6148c;\"><b>Process flow diagram of the supplied equipment<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter 1340px) 100vw, 1340px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a6148c;\"><b>Results<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a result of the implemented solution, Duracolor Coatings has <\/span><b>significantly increased the production capacity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of its existing plant.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Polimix<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is used for the paste preparation stage, incorporating water, powders and additives.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The paste is then transferred to the <\/span><b>Finishing Tanks<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where the formulation is completed by adding emulsions, water and final additives.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This production concept allows <\/span><b>overlapping operations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: while a batch is being finalised in a finishing tank, a new paste can be prepared in the Polimix.
