Any reduction of this time compromises safety or quality. Therefore, when seeking to optimize manufacturing processes, <strong>the right choice is to focus on the dosing time<\/strong>, because this phase still allows significant margins for improvement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 750px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-18226-1\" width=\"750\" height=\"750\" loop=\"1\" autoplay=\"1\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/oliverbatlle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/dosificadores-ob-1.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/oliverbatlle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/dosificadores-ob-1.mp4\">https:\/\/oliverbatlle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/dosificadores-ob-1.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dosing is highly complex due to the wide <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/oliverbatlle.com\/en\/oliver-batlle-at-paint-coatings-2024\/\">variety of containers<\/a><\/strong> and products: plastic or metal cans, rectangular and oval formats&#8230; Each of these particularities requires adaptations in the process that add to the product&#8217;s own complexities, such as viscosity and density.<\/p>\n<p>After trying to stress traditional solutions to improve the filling cycle time by incorporating up to four filling heads in our machines, <strong>Oliver + Batlle concluded that even then we would not achieve a proportional reduction in cycle time.<\/strong> To optimize filling processes with nozzles, we had to break the paradigm of traditional manufacturing, which is limiting technology. We had to completely rethink the process.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additive manufacturing of dispensers: An efficient solution customized for each manufacturer<br \/>\n<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing, provided us with the solution we were looking for.<\/strong> With it, we were able to develop an optimized nozzle for the dispensing process that not only improved speed, but also filling accuracy by <strong>improving dispensing speed by 20% <a href=\"https:\/\/oliverbatlle.com\/en\/industrial-automation\/\">without compromising quality<\/a><\/strong>. And, in some cases, reducing the cycle time by 30%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>By creating nozzles layer by layer, <strong>3D manufacturing facilitates customization for each customer and need<\/strong> &#8211; tailoring the design to product and packaging specifications &#8211; reduces production times and offers flexibility that is key to the demanding paint market.
